Abdul Sattar Edhi
High IQ Polymath Humanitarian Sciences Scholar
Short Description
In 2013, The Huffington Post hailed him "the world's greatest living humanitarian". Google honored this Pakistani philanthropist by decorating its landing page with his doodle in several countries including the United States. Guinness accolade his ingenuity for establishing the world’s largest network of ambulances with over 1800 vehicles. Besides this, a series of prestigious international awards mark recognition of the work by a man who established his name bearing multi-million dollar Edhi foundation while remaining penniless himself. Utterly dedicating his life to humanity, he rose to change the attitude of an entire nation towards welfare, singlehandedly. ‘No religion is higher than humanity’ became his belief as he went on to create one of the largest philanthropy and charity organizations in the world. Today, if you call 115 in this South Asian nation, Edhi Foundation will answer. To name our degree in Humanitarian Sciences after him is yet another tribute to the legendary work he left behind and inspire a whole new generation to take the lead for such work in future.
