ABOUT DR ZAAR THE FOUNDER

This extraordinary concept and education innovation is the brainchild of Dr. Zaar who is also the Founder and President of The HGR Group’s Education Initiative. An astute economist, businessman and a medical doctor with specializations in biochemistry and endocrinology, he is also the Avant-Garde of education as a reformist. Non-conventional, non-conformist and fearless, his extraordinarily imaginative capability has earned him the accolades of ‘Albert Einstein of Economics’, both by critics and contemporaries alike, merging physics and economics into a new area of study he called Econo-Physics and ultimately, Quantum Economics. Equally powerful in performing and visual arts, he is a stylish Tabla player and one of the world’s top calligraphers in English, Arabic and ambidextrous.

Dr. Zaar established the Environment and Medical Scientist Training Program in 2007, eliminating the redundant information from the curriculum. Leading a team of eminent educationists, he indoctrinated a ‘skill based’ education program and brought in environment to be adopted as the most crucial part of the curriculum. In 2010, the program was approved by the US Department of Education and in the same year, the organization started to present it to regulators and governments for its adoption under global copyrights. In the same year, his organization, the Environment & Health Sciences Education Administration Corporation was given the status of an independent Higher Education Commission for regulating the Environment & Medical Scientists Training Program and of which he serves as the Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Zaar started to receive momentous attention from the education community and this realized in the shape of an international agreement signed with the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Health and the Environment, the University of Karachi, and the University of Lahore who now remain on its permanent BOG as fulfillment partners. Similar agreements are in different stages of maturity and were put on hold due to COVID pandemic.

Dr.Zaar received his medical degree from Dow Medical College. While at Dow, he immensely became interested in business studies, international relations, public administration, political science, economics and literature and pursued with several programs from his Alma Mata, the University of Karachi. Upon graduation as a doctor in 1988, he took over his father’s business and led it successfully to become a 7 billion Rupees company in less than two years. The global aftermath of the Gulf crisis bought the family a financial wrath with Dr.Zaar’s investments in trading plummeting and a total business wipeout. Over the next three years, he was able to pull out of crisis and went on to pursue education ranging between biochemistry, endocrinology, economics and physics and also started a new set of businesses in trading, banking, real estate, consulting, stock exchanges and IT. Institutions such as UC Berkeley, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Davidson, Princeton and Yale today form the backbone of his achievements in all areas of life.

Following a successful career in medicine, including establishing the largest medical weight loss practice in the world after he arrived penniless from the United States in 2006,Dr. Zaar is a man who will die fighting but never give up. He still sits as the chairman of two commercial banks, two stock exchanges, three universities, two American medical boards, three Chambers of Commerce and the largest medical education providing company in the world. His new brand of education, the High IQ education initiative is a depiction of his life through the lens of time of a deeply embedded childhood between Karachi, London and New York. He carries in him the quintessential components of each city’s best characteristic which money can’t buy. His motto “Persistent Resilience” has pulled him out of a total wipe out, each time coming back stronger than before. A prominent victorious streak hence sets the instinct of the very life he has lived, never losing to adversary and simply family fighting back to follow the tradition of a family who knows the art of war.
